Megan Ferguson is the heart behind Beyond Play. With nearly a decade of experience as a Developmental Therapist, she brings a deep understanding of child development and what families really need during those early years.
She holds a dual bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Megan was also honored with the Rising Star Award by the Illinois Developmental Therapy Association—recognizing her impact, leadership, and dedication to the field.
But perhaps her most meaningful role is being “mom” to two little ones. Parenthood has shaped the way she supports families—offering not just professional expertise, but real-life insight, empathy, and encouragement.
Whether she’s coaching a parent through potty training or helping a toddler find their words, Megan is passionate about helping families navigate big milestones with confidence and connection.

Lucky Ferguson is the strategy and operations lead at Beyond Play, combining over 15 years of business experience with a deep commitment to supporting families.
With an undergraduate degree in Health Information Management and an MBA in Healthcare Management, Lucky understands both the heart and the infrastructure behind high-quality care. He’s currently earning his Doctor of Medical Science degree, with a focus on healthcare leadership and public health, furthering his mission to make expert support more accessible to families everywhere.
As a father of two, Lucky knows firsthand how overwhelming parenting can feel in the early years. That personal experience drives his passion for building tools and resources that are practical, evidence-based, and rooted in real life.
While Megan leads the clinical side, Lucky ensures Beyond Play runs smoothly behind the scenes, so families and therapists can focus on what matters most: helping their children thrive.
